About ESCADA Fragrances
Escada, the international
fashion design house, was
founded in 1976 by Wolfang
and Margaretha Ley. The
name, which stands for ?
staircase? in Portuguese,
originally comes from a
racehorse that fashion model
Margaretha and second
husband Wolfang placed a bet
on.
This fashion manufacturer
started designing luxury
sportswear and has expanded
into women's wear and
fragrances. Known for its fine
combination of colors and
textures, Escada is sleek fresh
dressing top artists and
socialites.
Their original fragrance was
titled Escada for women and
released in 1990; it was
reissued in 2005. Since then,
this Munich-based design
house has delivered over 35
perfumes including Sentiment,
Magnetism, Island Kiss, and
Rockin' Rio. Its two latest,
Sunset Heat and Into the Blue,
were released in 2006. These
fragrances offer aromas that
are young, fresh and delightful
