About HUGO BOSS Fragrances
Hugo Boss first launched his design house in Metzingen,
Germany in 1923. During this time Germany was
undergoing mass changes and Hugo Boss grew into a
small factory providing raincoats and uniforms to the
German army. Following this Hugo Boss passed away
and his two grandsons took over the design house. The
company was revamped and three main men's
business lines of clothing were launched, Boss, Hugo
and Baldessarini.
Hugo Boss also launched its line of design accessories
and fragrances. Boss Elements cologne was launched in
1993. This fragrance for men contains a blend of
fougere, amber and basil. In 1995, Hugo Boss launched
its next fragrance called Hugo. Hugo was available for
men and for women. It opened the door for Hugo Boss
to become well known as a women's designer. Hugo
Boss also went on to launch its women's line of
clothing. It was worn by actresses Cameron Diaz and
Drew Barrymore at the premier of Charlie's Angles in
2000. Baldessarini was the next cologne to be launched
in 2002. This fragrance for men contains a blend of
mint and pine wood. Most recently, Hugo Boss launched
Boss Femme in 2006. Boss Femme is a floral, fruity
scent.
The design house of Hugo Boss has continued to
revamp its clothing, fashion accessories and fragrances
to meet the needs of an ever changing market. The
name Hugo Boss is now well-known in all parts of the
world as being a top label.
